Our wonderful GE fridge is acting up yet again. This time, I'm getting intermittent usage out of the ice maker and water dispenser. Back in November, it just stopped making ice. I defrosted the freezer portion hoping that might free something up. It did not seem to work. It them stopped dispensing water. At this point, I noticed the green led was flashing on the icemaker. A couple days alter, it started making ice again. But, I still do not have a working water dispenser. The LED is back to solid green. Our twins were born on Thanksgiving, so I really haven't been able to take the time to sit down and post or research here.

We have crazy hard water here. The filter in the fridge probably needs changed and I can't recall when I did that. I tried taking it off and putting the cap back on, but that had no effect.

What steps for diagnosis should I take to get the water flowing again? This forum and the store have been helpful with my previous issues. The sooner I can get a the parts ordered, the sooner they can arrive.
