Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 2/8/2014(UTC) Posts: 1		My refrigerator is not cooling the compressor turns on for 30 seconds and off for 90 seconds and this cycle repeats. Any idea of what's wrong?

In other words they can tell you if a part is bad but do not tell you that the part is good. In the case of the compressor it may have winding to winding shorts or mechanical problems. With the capacitor it may only fail when supply voltage is applied to it. The compacitors are fairly reliable but the odd one does fail.
