Icemaker stopped producing. After thawing out and restarting determined that water is going into the mold but once the cubes freeze and the ice fingers turns over they stop and won't dislodge the ice into the bin. You can hear the motor "click" as it tries to break the ice. I'm assuming some gears on the breaker are stripped or the mold heater isn't coming on so ice stays stuck. Replace icemaker unit?

Got new ice maker today (very fast) and installed tonight. Water filled tray and froze but the ejector "fingers" never came around to eject cubes after 2+ hours and cubes frozen in tray. Held on/off switch for 15 secs to manually cycle. Fingers turned until contact with cubes and stopped. Used hair dryer to warm up tray and fingers did then eject the cubes. Any idEas why new ice maker didn't cycle or the fingers couldn't eject cubes. I suspect the tray heater never came on.

Hi.

Check the freezer temperature, if it's above 10 -15F the mold heater won't kick in.
Or it's another bad icemaker. Possible, but not likely.

Also , the model number you provided doesn't come up. I had to use the similar one. Please check and re post.(The last digit.)

Simon.
