My Frigidaire washing machine seems to be stuck on the wash cycle. The timer will advance as usual but no matter what setting it is on, all it will do is agitate. It wont drain the water or rinse the clothes, even if you move the dial manually. The tech papers that were taped to the inside of the machine only show wiring diagrams. Any suggestions?

Thank you,

Allie

When it comes to drain/rinse it continues to agitate with the soapy water. It wont drain or spin, just continues to agitate until the timer stops

Sounds like the problem is a bad timer.

Time for plan B. I just installed the new timer, but no luck. The washer still wont drain the soapy water or spin. If I manually move the dial to the spin setting, the washer continues to agitate - no draining or spinning. Any more suggestions?

My frigidaire washer is stuck on the wash cycle. The timer will run through its normal course but the washer will not drain or spin. No matter what setting it is on (wash, rinse, or spin) it will continue to agitate the soapy water. I have replaced the timer and that did not fix the problem so what should I try next?
