I have a Kenmore gas oven in which the bake burner does start on a consistent basis. I am not sure if ignitor or gas valve is issue. I can smell gas and also see ignitor spark (about 3 separate ticks), but still will not fire. I am able to start with utility lighter, but does not always work, before safety engages. The situation is more apparent if the oven is turned off, then attempt to restart. I also notice during the period of cooking the burner may not always re-light the first time, then oven has feature of second attempt. Most of the time will re-fire on second attempt, though not 100%. I have started Broil burner with no problem, though this appears would not rule out valve.
Would appreciate assistance and from purchasing incorrect part.
