I cleaned my sisters oven with easy off oven cleaner! It was all good until I slightly lifted the element to wipe up the gunk! Then the power to the oven only went off. We switched the breakers ... Nothing! Looked for a reset switch... Not one! Does someone know what happened the oven? It's an older model maytag but I don't know what the model number is!!!

Remove the power to the oven. Pull out the heating element and check the wires connection to the heating element. Check the heating element for continuity.

Check for the model number on the oven door frame or behind the bottom drawer.
