On several occasions wash has come out very wet. It happens on small loads as well as large. This doesn't occur every time but enough to know that there is a mechanical problem occurring. Any suggestions on what to look for or repair? It to me seems the spin cycle is the problem. Could the pump have something backing up the draining of the washing load. Another question is there a lint screen or some means to collect or filter lint? One thing I would like two add is that I had a burning odor ( electric motor overheating smell) on about 3 occasions almost like a burning -belt. I believe this is a direct drive motor /no-belt. Any suggestions or ideas to a solution to my problem would greatly be appreciated. Thanks for the support you offer on this site. I recently repaired my whirlpool gas oven range with A.P.P. parts and expert technical advice from this site. Top notch I highly recommend the forum to all people.

Hi Todd,

This model number looks much better :).

Remove the washer cabinet. Remove the drain pump and disconnect the hoses from the pump. Check for a foreign objects in side.

Check for a foreign objects between the inner and the outer tubs. The outer tub is made of plastic and a good flashlight will help.

The following video instructions will help you to disassemble it.
