The water pours out around the bottom spray head instead of going up in it. Causing water pressure to be low.. so spray arm does not spin, nor does it push the water up the tube to the upper spray arm. Used some items to "rig" the bottom to make a better seal between the spray head and the "spray head housing" don't know it's actual name. Worked much better and pushed water up to upper spray head as well. Took the duct tape back off the seal ring and now i need to know how to actually fix the problem. What parts are needed.. or is it supposed to pour out all around the bottom spray head and i just dont' have enough pressure? Also, there is a small hole and slot just above it on the "spray head housing" is that supposed to have a plug of some sort in it?
So, question is, what parts do i need to fix this issue, or should i just buy a new dishwasher :-)

Here are your parts Replacement parts for GSD1420T models | AppliancePartsPros.comYou are missing some digits at the end of your model number. I used 55BB Could be that Item 545 in Section 2 is worn. You will see that this has been replaced with a newer style spray arm assembly. As far as the hole I believe it should have a check valve (Item 557 in Section 2) I do not think that this is required if the updated spray arm assembly is used. |
