I'm really stumped here. I am having a problem with my Frigidaire Gallery dishwasher. I posted a question under water valve (AP4321824) and got a response that I needed a control board. I ordered and received the control board, installed it, but it did not solve my problem - my dishwasher is still not working. I returned the control board.

Here's what's happening: When I turn on the dishwasher, the display panel comes on like normal, and starts counting down like normal, but nothing happens. I hear clicking occasionally like it's moving through the various phases of the wash cycle, but that's all that's happening. I connected a multi-meter to the two wires going to the water valve and I am not getting any power there. The float switch seems to be working, but to be sure, I jumped the wires on the switch and still get nothing.

Does anyone have any other suggestions, or do I need to break down and call a repairman? Any input appreciated. Thanks.

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for Frigidaire GLD2445RFS0 Frigidaire/dishwasher | AppliancePartsPros.com

Here is the tech sheet

Check that the door switch (white wires) is closing with a meter or you could short it out to see if the unit starts filling with water.
Be careful as you do not want to splash water all over the place.

If OK then you could check the continuity of the white wires to the various components.

Thanks for the response denman. But if the door switch was not working, wouldn't the display not come on when I hit the start button on the dishwasher?

When I hit "Start" the panel display comes on (along with all the appropriate indicator lights) and it starts counting down like normal, but nothing else happens.

I am not 100% sure on this but if you look at the wiring diagram you will see that power goes around the switches directly to the board so I would say it is powered all the time but the white switch does switch in all the other parts.

Thanks, denman - you ARE the man! I took out the door switch and kinda' fiddled around with it then put it back in and viola! The dishwasher started working again!! It seems that the problem is indeed with the switches in the latch assembly. It's working now, but I'll be placing an order for a new latch assembly to have it on hand when the thing eventually gives up the ghost for good. Thanks for all your help! You guys rock!!
