I have a kenmore Ultra wash dishwasher Model # 665-16022400 apprx 7 yrs old-everything was working fine till xmas of 2011-then when you pushed smart wash then try to press start nothing happens-also

you cannot get pots & pans or normal wash-the led's for smart wash and heated dry come on but not for normal or pots & pans-if you press cancel twice pump will start to pump out as per normal-I have tried reset normal wash/heated dry as per manual this will not start keypad diagnostics-I have pull panel and check thermal fuse -it has continuity-also have checked both door/latch switches to confrim continuity,I have taken off front panel and check for poss broken wires leading to motor etc-all ok-I have also taken all wires off electronic control board and checked their connections-all seem ok-I have also pin tested the ribbon plug the corresponding connections and got reading from open to close then open again for all keypad switches so this makes me think the key pad is ok-at one point after keypad and electronic control board had been apart reinstalled all and did diagnostic sequence all led's came on and everything worked for 1 wash-then next day all was the same again-after talking to local repair they said most likely electronic control board/timer faulty-purchased and installed new one from ********** but still had same problem except i couldnt turn heated dry on and off which I could do before-so not sure whether new electronic control board was faulty or not-still suspect control board and possibly key pad & ??-but not sure what should do next-Help-both control board and key pad are apprx $160.--need help -when I say checked connections this also means connections are good and no signs of corrosion-need help-what should next step be-Larry from bc
