I bought this dishwasher in November 2005. The touchpad recently died in that none of the lights come on and there is no response when pressing the keys. So far I have replaced the touchpad with a new one and also the circuit board. I have ohmed the two wires on the back side of the thermal switch attached to the circuit board and read less than 1 Ohm. I have ohmed the switch at the door handle and it reads 0 when depressing the small white spring-loaded tab. I also checked that the moving part of the door handle activating the switch is working properly. I disconnected the connector at the optical water indicator OWI and it started the self test as supposed to. I have done this twice now, first with the touchpad disconnected and second with it connected. While the self test seemed to run like supposed to, the touchpad is still dead. I am looking for suggestion what to check for next. Thanks.
