Last week the refridge was way above correct temperature. I turned refridge off for 3 days (was out of town and have a fridge in garage). The fridge door was making a popping sound and I wrapped electrical tape around the bearing on the bottom hinge, no more popping. Now the freezer side with the temperature set on 6 is 10 degree and the fresh food is with the setting on 0 is 28 degree. I can hear the fan running and I can make compressor to turn on and off. What next?

The freezer is too warm, check the condensing motor and coils in the back and verify the compressor is not overheating.

Remove the freezer back panel and check the frost pattern, defrost if clogged up entirely.
