Whirpool direct drive washer during whole spin cycle makes a loud banging/clunking noise.

I put it on spin cycle & banging/clunking noise if you push down the agitator with your hand it will not make that noise.

I took off the agitator & watched the agitator shaft while on spin cycle. The basket spins the agitator shaft starts to spin then bangs/clunks stops after one revolution for a split second then continues on moves another revelations until it bangs/clunks stops for split second then continues over & over.

I suggest you take off the cabinet and check the springs, support structure and pad. One of them should be your problem.
