Unit doesn't cycle unless dial is on coldest setting. Move it back to economy setting and it fails to cycle compressor. With forum questions as a guide, I have deduced it is either the start circuit or thermostat. Can you confirm? I also have part AP3885081 as the kit.
Compressor checks out - no internal grounds or resistance all legs. TIA

Thank you for the confirmation. As you suggested, I replaced the thermostat before the starter components and the temps are back within normal parameters. The unit cycles on normal/economy settings as well. Just pass along the faceplate pops off for access to bolts that allows dissassembly of the console where the thermostat switch is installed. Also, I had to reuse cover for the probe which is easily removed from the old part. Just be careful re-installing on new probe so you don't exceed the bend radius of probe and cause it to crack. Simple and easy.
