Changed the ice maker and that work for about 4 months then started leaking again. Ice trays are a pain, but cheaper then the repair cost.

Most likely the problem is a bad water inlet valve on the back of the refrigerator which stacks open. - The water inlet valve Part number: AP3192626

Roger, Are you sure the problem was the ice maker from the beginning? Or may be it was the ice maker and now it is a bad water valve? Unfortunately nothing last forever. Gene.

Thanks Gene. I'll try changing the valve. Maybe it's sticking. We get a lot of sediment in our lines.

hello i originally posted that i was having a problem with my ice maker overfilling or spilling causing an ice waterfall in the freezer. i fabricated a cover for the fill try where the water fill tube directs the water to the freeze tray. so far so good as the problem seems to be fixed. i think that the water was splashing over this tray and cascading down creating the problem. like i said so far so good ill keep you posted
