One burner quit working Do i have to replace the whole top or can i just replace the one burner?

Brenda,

In most cases, on electric cooktops, each individual burner is a separate circuit and can be repaired using the proper part(s), there's more involved than just the burner.

If you could get us a model number(most likely on the bottom of the cooktop) we can be more helpful in helping you out.
