I read some posts last night and tore into my fridge in hopes of repairing it but found ice all over the coils in the freezer. I let it thaw out last night and today its empty of ice just lots of water on the floor. Can someone please tell me why the defrost cycle wouldnt be kicking in to let it thaw out. The thermistor seems to look ok in the freezer but have no clue what part to get to fix it. Thanks for all the help. I got a Jenn-Air french-door bottom freezer model # JFC2070KRS.

I'm attaching the service data information, so you can run the self tests and diagnostics. You'll also be able to test components and wiring, if needed. Good Luck, :) :) :)

Hello,
Having similar problem with JFC2070KRS. Fridge worm, door gasket hot.
Back wall of the freezer full of frost.

I did run quick defrost and the diagnostic tests. All steps come OK, however in Service Test 2 I should observe compressor and condenser fan. I can hear the compressor but not sure about the fan.
Do I need to remove back panel from insight the freezer or from the back of appliance to get access to the condenser fan?
Since all of the tests passed, I am incline toward replacing condenser fan.
In case I need to get access from the insight of the freezer, how hard is to remove the drawer slides. Are they similar to the drawer slides in kitchen cabinets?

You have to remove the cover at the back of the appliance to get at the condenser fan.
Also clean the condenser coils under the unit and check that the vents on the rear cover and front kick plate are clean. |

I did cleanup as a first step, however it is build in appliance. Since I need to pull it out for the condenser fan, I'll finish cleaning it up from the rear.
Can u help with the part number for the condenser fan?

Finally I managed to get that beast out of the cave :)
THE CONDENSER FAN IS WORKING!
Would be possible that above symptoms are caused by dirty/plugged condenser coils?
That plate at the bottom back of the fridge has small exhaust opening in it, should I leave it off before pushing fridge back, just to give it better breathing?
