My fridge and freezer has all of a sudden stopped cooling. The fan on the bottom is turning . Have no clue what to do or check. any info would be much appreciative.

The compressor is working and found alot of frost on the freezer side. Cleared off all the frost and still is not cooling.

The damper motors on these are very reliable. I would jam the damper door almost 1/2 way open. If your temperatures now become "normal" you most probably have either bad ff thermistors, or a bad motherboard. All the thermistors measure around 5K ohm at room temperature, if you have a meter, just check.

I have just found my heater tube in the freezer is blown( black). would that have anything to do with my problem?

You said before there still was no cooling after you removed the frost. If defrost is not working at all, you would still get good performance for a few days till it frosts over again.
