Have set the freezer temperature control knob to ZERO and the temperature of the freezer is at minus10 degrees F. It has been as low as minus 30 degrees F. ( Refrig side is set to 4 and is not a problem). I was able to set the freezer control at 1 for a while but now it's requiring a ZERO setting. I'm afraid I've run out of adjustment. Is the ice maker thermostat controlling the freezer temp or is it something else? Note: I replaced the ice maker motor about a year ago and the main elect control board a month ago (for a refig lighting problem).

The door seals are sealing very well. The parts diagram shows a thermostat 627985 located in the icemaker and a thermistor 2188819 in the refrige control box (Whirlpool Model # GD5RHAXNB00). I assume there is a problems with the temp sensing mechanism in one of these parts. Which will affect the freezer side? Thanks.
