My GE profile side-by-side has a constant drip from the water dispenser, to the point that the water tray will overflow by days end. The water is coming from the tube, so i know it's not melting ice caught in the chute. From reading other posts, I'm assuming the water inlet valve needs replacing. Assuming this is correct, and that i need to order your part # AP3192626 (aka GE part # WR57x10032), I've a couple of questions.

1- Is a faulty water valve the likely problem?

part # AP3192626 comes with no instructions.

2- Can you tell me how to uninstall/reinstall this part?

3- Is this a fairly simple procedure? (for reference, i have built a computer from scratch, but never touched a refrigerator save for the water dispenser).

4- I've noticed that GE part # WR57x10032 is referred to as a 'double outlet water valve' on other web sites. is this the same thing as your 'water inlet valve'?

thanks for any help. it's much appreciated...

Hi Zoidarkel,

1. About 99.9%

2. Turn off water supply. Remove the rear cover. Disconnect the water line for the valve. Remove the valve bracket screw. Pull out and disconnect cable connector. Disconnect the water tubes. Assemble it in the reversed order.

3. This part is not too difficult to replace yourself.

4. GE part number WR57X10032 is AppliancePartsPros.com item number AP3192626.

Here are the break down diagrams for the GE refrigerator Model PSS29NGMBWW

thanks for the quick reply. I'll let you know how the install goes after the part arrives.

p.s. in my original post, i meant to say 'save for the water filter', rather than 'water dispenser'.

:D Yay! It Worked! the part was here in less than 2 days and the install went very smoothly. We actually spent more time trying to dislodge the refrigerator from it's spot than we did replacing the part. But that's another story...
Anyway, you saved us at least $100 and probably more...Thanks bunches for your help.
