I believe it is a bad timer contact, but I cannot find an electrical diagram to know how to check it. I know I check the contact between the black and blue wire but mine has one black and the rest are blue. Thanks
I'm not clear about the wire colors or location of the wires you are discussing.
Did you also check the thermal cut out and thermal fuse for closed circuits ?
Did you check the thermistor for 10,000 ohms resistance (at room temperature) ?
(can also check at the main control board at connector P14 pin 3 to pin 6 in the harness).
If not, you need to check those as well.
Based on your description there are several more components you need to check, these checks should be made at the main control board :
These are live voltage checks(120 VAC) so be careful...
With the machine plugged into the outlet,
From chassis ground to conn. P9 pin 2 (L1/ black) you should read 120 VAC.
At the heater relay NO conn.(black) to chassis groud will be 120 VAC.
Program a timed dry with high heat setting.
You should read 120 VAC from COM(red) to chassis ground(voltage out to gas valve).
No voltage out on red COM terminal at heater relay, would indicate a bad main control board, if all other checks are proper.
Good Luck,
:) :) :)
