I have a GE Gas Dryer model #DBXR463GDWW that will not heat up...
I took the dryer apart and cleaned out all the lint and dust, even in the exhaust and dryer seemed to work fine again, until put the drum back in and front back on...
I took the front back off and noticed that the ignitor was lighting up but the gas was not firing up all the time (only about 10% of the time)...
I thought it was the solenoids so I took them out and took them too the service shop where the serviceman said "they where fine, but it's probably the ignitor malfunctioning"...
I told him again that the ignitor lights up everytime, but he seemed very clear that it was probably a faulty ignitor that was not getting the proper signals back to the release...
So my question is: Can ignitor that glows, still be bad???
