What is involved in changing out the two back bearing at the rear of this machine? Does the whole drum need to be removed?

I also noticed that the other day to hand turn the drum backward was really really hard the other day. To go forward seemed normal. So I opened up my machine and did a through clean up job in the inside of the dryer.
And then lubricated the two bearing in the back. So far everything seems normal other than an occasional chirp.
