Hello,
This site seems to be a wealth of knowledge. it seems simple enough that it could be the main switch (timer) but I had just finished a load of clothes and started the second when the machine just went dead.
I intend to get a new switch but was wondering if there might be somthing else to cause.
I have checked the electrical connection and all is good there.
The machine is not nearby so if I need to get some aditional parts I feel really good about your return policy

Did you try to play with the timer knob? Sounds like the timer could be the culprit. Make sure there is 120 VAC to the washer. If the voltage is insufficient, it will never work. - The timer Part number: AP2108034

You are welcome. I do not think the door switch can be involved in this problem. Keep us posted.

Gene. do you have any quick tips on replaceing the timer. I read one post that mentioned using a srewdriver to remove a rod of somesort to get the this off

There is nothing complicated about it. Remove the top panel and you will see what to do next.

Well i felt like a real newbie when we found out that the GFI circut was faulty.
Replaced the outlet and the thing worked.
I must have ben asked a half a dozen times if there was power to the washer, and there was sometimes.
Electricity is a funny thing somtimes.
I love the return policy
Great site, i will use it again

Well known problem for this model. remove top lid to access the timer and follow the black and white wire connection to timer, that's the plug you need to check and jiggle a little.
