First,

Check and make sure there are no small articles stuck between the tubs causing a drag and slow spin.

Is the drain water out of the tub in 90 seconds or less?
Clogged malfunctioning drain pump or kinked hose.

Is there any new, abnormal noises when the unit is in spin ?

I suspect you have a brake / clutch assembly problem,in the drive train,

But do these checks first.

I believe you could fix this yourself.

The part you need is relatively inexpensive.
(see attached / click on part number)

I have also attached a pretty comprehensive test and repair procedure, prepared by one of my colleagues, for a better understanding for you.

I'm sure you could do it,

I hope this all helps you,
Good Luck

To get the motor off the tranny side, remove the screws holding the clips in place, then pry off the clips.

Remove the agitator and the three tranny bolts and pull out the tranny.
