Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 4/5/2010(UTC) Posts: 5		I changed the lower element last fall. Worked like a champ until the last few weeks. Now the oven (most of the time) takes a long time to pre-heat. Even if I use the broiler to pre-heat and set the temp to where I won't, it is a while before it will hold at that temp. Is this a problem with the element? Or is it possible that it has come loose a little on my previous install? I am not afraid to replace/repair, with some advice, but I am the handiest of men at this.

If it does not, check the element for continuity and make sure the wires to the element are not broken.
