I have a whirlpool front load washer. I can't find the model number anywhere on it but I believe this one is close. The machine was in a basement that was flooded about 6 inches. I have cleaned the motor and all electrical connections. a previous tech replaced the MCU and I replaced the CCU but the machine is still displaying an F28 error code. I've also checked all the interlock switches. I've tried running both the manual and regular diagnostics test and I can only get the door switch to lock in either. when I run a regular cycle everything seems to work except for the motor. I get power to the MCU but am unable to check the voltage at the motor. I took the motor out and installed it in another similar machine and it worked fine. It seems to me that the MCU is bad but I don't want to spend money on it and that not be the problem. expecial sence it has allready been replaced recently. Any help or nudge in the right direction would be greatly appriciated

The standard diagnosis is that if you are getting power to the MCU and the machine will not operate the MCU is bad. Since your motor seems ok I think replacing the MCU will probably get you back in business.
Just know that nothing is certain on these models.
