Our dishwasher control module was just replaced under warranty and ever since the soap dispenser cup will not open. There was never a problem before and the spring does work. The cup opens fine manually. Is it possible he installed the wrong one, didn't do the right programming or I have a faulty module?

Usually the repair comes with a short warranty period following the repair. Could you just call them back? Of course trying to prove that the control module has anything to do with your new problem...
Sorry I dont have better answer, but I'm sure someone will- please post results.
