How do I open the coo top to gainaccess to this part . Must I remove the entire cooktop from the counter or can it be accessed from the top without removing it ?

Gene,I apologize, I amreplacing the left rear gas valve and cannot see a way to gain access to it without removing the entire cook top from the counter.
