To remove the timer switch and dial plate. Pull the knob cover and rubber grip ring. To remove the knob and dial plate, remove the white plastic rod from the back of the timer. The rod has a half-circle base and it will turn as you turn the knob. To remove the rod, pust the knob in so the rod base is nearly flush with the back of the timer. Using very fine needle nose pliers, pull the rod straight out.

After the rod is out, you can press the ears together holding the knob on.

To remove the switch assembly, remove the screw on the back of the timer. Lift the tab above where the screw way and slide the switch to the right.
