Our refigerator does not recycle properly. It will shut off and sometimes come back on but sometimes not. If I touch the temperature control metal stem with a metal pliers, the refigerator and freezer comes back on and starts to cool. If I tap on the temperature control, the refigerator and freezer will come back on also. It will sometimes recycle but then get stuck in the refigerate or defrost mode, and must touch or tap temperature control knob to get it working again. Is this a bad Temperature Control Knob or maybe a defective Defrost Timer or both? Also the closest diagram I could find on your site for my model is ED25PMXPRWR2 (my model is ED25PMXPRNR2), the parts look similar will they work on my refrigerator?
thank you, louis:confused:

Here is the wiring diagram / tech sheet http://www.servicematters.com/d...0Sheet%20-%201105270.pdfIs this a bad Temperature Control Knob or maybe a defective Defrost Timer or both?I would replace the thermostat (temperature control) first as it also runs the Defrost Timer motor Part number: AP3103397
