We have replaced the gasket because the refrigerator was running continually. This did not fix the problem. No matter how low we set the temp we would still freeze everyting, even vegetables in the crisper.

Is this a do-it-yourself job? If so what parts and what process do you recommend?

Thanks!

Look for an ice clog behind the crisper drawer, or control setting too high, or a closed damper door in fridg section.

I've checked on the damper - but it seems to imply that if it was inoperable (not opening or closing properly) that one side or the other would be too cold. I know the refrigerator side is too cold; but isn't -5 degrees too cold for the freezer section also?

Seems like a bad cold control, AP2151626. I would call this parts site to verify, they list two different cold controls for this fridg.
