My parts manual says to use ice maker part # 4317943, so I ordered part 4317943. When I received the part, none of the included cables had connectors that would connect to the ice maker cable in my freezer. In fact, I cannot remove (unplug) the old ice maker cable that goes through the freezer wall - there is no connector. The only apparent way to make the electrical connections to a new ice maker is to cut the existing wires and splice in the wires from the new ice maker. Am I overlooking something?

Remove the cover off the old icemaker. Look where the wires enter the icemaker. If you press in of the clip you can disconnect the wires at the head of the icemaker. Then do the same to the new icemaker and the old wires should plug into the new icemaker. Refrigerator repair guide
