The ice maker will drip water into the ice tray, which will freeze and lump up the cubes. I can live with breaking them apart to use them but my concern is that the flow could increase and fill or overflow the ice tray. I can get a replacement ice maker for $100. plus, but I'm not sure it's worth the effort considering the bad rep Jenn-Air has. Any thoughts?

I replaced the ice cube unit and when I took out the old unit I found that our well water had eaten away at the coating on the cube trays, causing the leak. I ordered the replacement online, see it at the following link: D7824706Q Maytag ICE MAKER KITAlso, all the water in the house is now filtered.
