Struggling to get meat that gets stuck to the bottom of my Gala stand alone freezer, the bottom got a hole, and as water and other fluids gets through the hole the material inside got soaked and a nasty smell is coming out of it, and meat touching the bottom does not get frosted. Can the inner bottom be replaced and will that solve the problem ? Preferably DIY.

Thanks in advance Don't know whether you've got a chest or upright freezer, but I've never seen a replaceable liner on either.

Thanks for your reply. It`s an upright freezer
Looking from where the motor is i can see the steel bottom which looks to be fine. So what I was thinking was to remove the silver cover ( which looks like foil) and the insulation from the top so that there will be no need to tip it upside down. I don`t know if that could be done as I don`t know what to find beneath the silver cover. What do you think? can you explain to me what`s beneath the silver lineing besides the insulation. Pushing down around the hole with my fingers it`s very soft and water still keeps coming up.

Thanks again I'll have to apologize upfront. I really don't understand what you're looking at. Usually when you see some sort of foil around the compressor area it's part of an insulation barrier. Do you happen to have a model #? I believe it's still going to go back to what I originally mentioned, the bottom of a freezer isn't going to be something that would be replaceable. If you can find a model # I'll be happy to try and find something more to give you.
