Fridge and freezer seem to work fine but I noticed yesterday that theres an area on left side very near the front , but not on the doors, maybe 3" wide by 12 " high that is quite hot to the touch.
This "zone" is near the top of the fridge portion and the bottom of the freezer portion of the unit.
Please explain phenomena and should I be concerned?
Thanks,
Tim

There is an electric heater that goes across the metal strip(mullion) on the front of the unit which separates the freezer and refrig section. That will put out heat.

You probably also have a part of the condensor loop going around the perimeter of the freezer section to keep it from sweating. I believe this is what you're feeling. If it feels hotter then it has in the past I would suggest making sure the condensor coil under the unit is clean, along with checking to make sure the condensor fan motor is running.

Thank you for the quick response,
The weather here has been quite hot and humid recently and I will monitor the temperature of the area more closely.
I wll also clean out the woozies which I'm sure are down there.

I took off the cardboard covering and cleaned out under the
coils and such.
The fan was not spinning.....because there was a dead mouse blocking its ability....not a very efficient mousetrap but, apparently it works.
Result, remove the mouse,
Fan moves fine,
Compressor gets cooled
Heat of side of fridge disappears
Thanks again
