The washer spin speed was too slow. I changed the belt and also had a look at the timer switch. Did not remove or tamper with the switch. Now the agitator will not work during any of the wash cycles but works fine when the dial moves to the rinse and spin cycle. Only in the wash cycle the agitaor will not agitate. When the switch is moving through the wash cycle a clicking noise is heard untill it reaches the rinse/spin cycle. Could it be the timer switch bad in the wash cycle and not the rest of the cycles.

Your help will be appreciated. Thanks Wes

Thanks fopr the reply; I sent another request to the board for help about my problem and it was previously answered. The problem was the timer.

I'm glad to hear it. Good luck with your washer.
