Hi Frank

By the serial number of your washer I can tell you what is the manufacturing date. If you do not have the prove of purchase then the Maytag will go by this date.

Before we figure out the warranty coverage I'd not recommend any attempt to repair.

Gene.

Installed a new belt and unit will not drain. Found alot of burnt belt under prior to changing belt. When tested it spun fine, but under actual load washed real slow and will not drain, jus clicks. Is the belt supposed to pivot freely on the motor mounts or? I do not know if the unit is unde warranty and I can not find the papers. It is 10 months old.
