Following up this old but very help thread.

I hope to replace the ribbon cable with a new one. Does anyone know the model number?

Thanks!

If it's like mine there are small ears on each end of the receptacle, so you grasp the receptacle or connector that is attached to the printed circuit board with your thumb and forefinger. You pull up and the inner portion or keeper in the connector rises sligthly. This releases the ribbon cable and you just pull it out. Mine was kind of stuck so I had to pull fairly hard to get it loose. To reinstall, make sure the inner keeper is pulled up with one hand, slide the ribbon down in the slot and push the keeper bar down to hold it in place. See if that helps.

I am replacing the touchpad and control panel on my oven. How do I detach the ribbon cable on the old part and attach the new one?
