Awesome Gene. You were right on with the water inlet valve. That was the problem. I bought the replacement part, but the two holes don't match up on the water inlet valve metal piece and the holes on the water inlet valve cover. I'm going to have to use big washer and make-do to get two screws to hold the water inlet valve to the cover. I can do it.

Hi Gene,

Hate to bother you again, but how do you go about replacing the Inlet Water Valve on the Washer? Please keep in mind, I don't know anything about washers except how to get them going and stop them.

Thank you for your patience

In this case there is no doubt the problem is a bad water valve in your washer.

The part number for the new water mixing valve AP3094541

Good luck.

Hi Karen

I need to know if your washer filled up with cold water for the main wash?

Gene.

Hi Gene,

I'm having similar problem with washer cycle stopping when it is time for the cold water. Mine also stops during rinse. It is a Kenmore Heavy Duty 70 Series, Model 110.82671810, Serial C73217086. The cold water hose isn't clogged. How do I find out if it is the timer or something else?

Karen

Hi MiniPants

Before I might be able to help you I need to know if your washer filled up with the cold water during the rinse cycle when you used warm/cold or hot/cold options?

Gene.
