Did you find the part you were looking for or did you end up replacing the cooktop? I have a similar problem, can't find parts. I have the electric version of your cooktop, the Modern Maid FET290-2W and the motor is seized in the downdraft. If you replaced your cooktop, maybe you would have the motor for sale?

The initial problem of my Modern Maid cooktop is:
1) the igniter doesn't work well,and
2) the burner seems a little blocked. It takes long to cook.

I have two options: find the parts or change the whole unit. This model has a built-in downdraft vent. The size is 36". I found it very difficult to find one with 36" and built in downdraft. Do you know any? Thanks!

Then, I turned to changing the parts. The parts are difficult to find too, as this brand is not produced any more. My first plan is to change the whole gas catridge. Now it's down to change the parts: burner (front and rear) and igniter. Can someone tell me where I can get the parts? Thanks a lot for your help.

Sincerely,
David
