Turn the spin basket and see if it turns "rough", this would indicate bad tub bearings, a common reason for speed control board failures, I believe any current draw above 3 amps will damage the board.

yea 90% the motor control board is the problem. The board is located on the bottom right side of the tub, with the back panel off. But you can test with meter as Sid suggested. But all i have seen, it is the motor control board.

Ok, this is the model that comes up with your model number,

LTF2940EE0

and what you posted had an extra zero, but I am going to assume that this is your model.

Here is the service manual for that machine.

LTF29400EE0 comes up as a Frigidair Washer on this site. I have not been able to locate a manual to check the test cycle. thank -Lee

Look inside the lower service panel and see if there is a set of tech notes that will allow you to put it into diagnosis/troubleshooting mode.

I would think that your motor/speed control board is the problem but try to verify that with testing.

I am also having trouble getting your model number to come up, if you need more assistance please check it and post the correct one, along with the results of your testing.

Have a front load machine, it will go through all the cycles, but on the spin cycle it never reaches high speed. It will spin, but it is slow speed. The pump is clean, the belt seems tight. It seems like a senser or a control board?

thanks
