My front loading washing machine has stopped working. If I run the machine without any clothes (just water) the bowl operates normally. If however I add clothes to the water the motor does not have enough power to turn the bowl, clothes and water. I have checked and the drive belt is not broken nor is it slipping. If I help the motor it works but then stops again almost immediately. What I need to know is ………. is the motor at fault and I need a new one or is it something more sinister like a capacitor or something that might be the problem. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Cheers
Bill
