What would cause my dryer to keep ruining breakers? I check the socket like gene said I dont get 240 across 2 hot terminals. I get 120 across one neutral and one hot. But not on the opposite side. Reset breaker, still the same reading. Just had neighbor put in new breaker.

Where is the heating element located? How do you check that to see if its working?
