And it states to (Short the upper double line break relay red wire terminals fastons) not sure what this means?
Neither do I. I would imagine they are measuring it from the control board but do not understand why they want to short out the relay.
Unplug the unit.
Remove at the wires from the thermal fuse and measure it, should be 0 ohms.
Removing at least one wire from it ensures that you do not read an alternate/parallel circuit path.
You could also check it at the control board.
Unplug the unit and measure:
From P26-4/Red to RedWhite should be approximately 28 ohms
From P26-2/Orange to RedWhite should be approximately 19 ohms
If both are open (infinite ohms) either the fuse is gone ot the RedWhite wire is broken/open.

Thank you for your response. I have a few more questions. I do have a VOM tester, but not sure how to read a closed circuit for the oven shutdown thermal fuse. I am sure that I must shut off the circuit breaker on the fuse panel before testing. And it states to (Short the upper double line break relay red wire terminals fastons) not sure what this means?

Hi,
GBD307PRB01 Whirlpool DBL wall oven - The unit is about 4 years old and for some reason the lower oven elements will not heat up. The control panel shows the lower over temp and heat is on, but both elements are cold and will not heat up. The upper oven works fine. What can I do to fix this?
