I have a Sears Kenmore model #596.78576803, more than 10 years old.

I'm having this problem with my icemaker: it will make a single tray of ice just fine. I can force it to eject that ice by running a wire between the "T" and "H" holes on the front of the mechanism. When I do that, it dumps the ice in the bin, the water comes on and refills, and a new tray of ice forms. But that's where the process stops. The arm is in the correct, "down" position. But even though the ice bin is essentially empty, the maker will not re-engage to dump the new ice into the bin.

It's a new icemaker, by the way.

Ideas, anyone? Very frustrating!

Thanks.
