I still have a Kenmore dryer from the 80's.
I have a Whirlpool side by side fridge that will outlive me (and still be under warranty)

But my Mother-in-law has a Whirpool French Door Refrigerator that lost the compressor at 21 months (90 days past warranty), then the main control board, then the crisper control board. When she wrote to Whirlpool they wrote back "yeah, well, our bad, best of luck".

Then I bought a Whirlpool Accubake oven and after replacing the control board, the igniter board and the gas valve (starting 120 days after warranty) I *STILL* get Beep Codes that the factory claims don't exit.

So my question for a 30 inch gas range/oven is this:

Discounting the brands Whirlpool has - what is the best/easiest to repair but doesn't often need repair brand to buy? GE? Is it time to go off shore? Samsung? LG?

For washing machines - it's Speed Queen hands down - they are exactly the same as the 1970's and lat forever as well

what about ovens?
