Black & Decker (which I believe is Haier) chest freezer, model BFQ50.

Recently the freezer has turned off several times, and we find out when the food has thawed and there’s water on the floor. I found that if I jiggle/move it or give it a good bump it, it will pop right back on and work normally for a few days, then turn off again.

After reading several blogs, I have tried:
Checking the front dial – it was on setting 5, and when I turned it lower, it clicked.
Checking for dust on coils – the coils are encased so not likely the issue.
Unplugging and re-plugging – nothing happened until I gave it a couple of hard bumps.

I really don’t want to replace the freezer, but I cannot trust it enough to put meat in there. I just cannot find any information on what may make the freezer turn off so frequently. We’re at roughly 5 to 7 days per incident, and on the last incident, I really had to bump harder than before to get it to turn on. Any guidance on whether repair possible is greatly appreciated. Thank you
