Hi, hope you can help me, I have no idea anything about appliances but an article of clothing fell into our wash machine around the side of the basin (it's free floating and kind of wobbles so its possible for things to fall around the side)

This is the model or very close to it: https://products.geappli...ce/gea-specs/GUV27ESSMWW

Is there a way to open the top so I can get the article of clothing out from the side of the basin? It sort of looks like it should be able to swing up but I don't know what I'm doing and the manual on GE's website didn't have any information about it.

Failing that is there some other way I could get to it?

Thank you in advance for any and all help, I'm just visiting your forum for the first time so I hope this post is appropriate.
