I've been having this issue with my dryer for a few weeks now and it's starting to get worse. After I turn the timer knob to the desired time then push the start button, nothing happens. I have to turn the dryer knob forward slightly for the dryer to turn on. If I let go, the dryer stops. I have to hold the knob for a little while before the dryer will stay on.

There is a little bit of play in the dryer knob which I believe is the culprit. Is this as simple as replacing the dryer knob or is there something deeper I need to look into?

Thanks!
